How your information is kept

Who we are

Kredit is a platform that audit and accounting firms use to run their engagements with clients. The firm that invited you decides what it asks for and why. Kredit keeps the records for the firm and for its own running of the service.

What is kept

• Your name, email address and, where you give it, your phone number and role at your organisation.
• The documents you upload for the engagement, with who uploaded each one and when.
• The engagement’s history: requests, reviews, and every email the firm sent you through Kredit.

Where it is kept

During testing, Kredit’s database, sign-in and uploaded files are held by Supabase in Frankfurt, Germany (region eu-central-1). That is outside South Africa. Before real client information is used, the final notice will name every service that holds it, where, and the protection that applies to the transfer, as POPIA requires.

Who can see it

Only the people at the firm running your engagement. Every record belongs to one firm, and the database itself refuses anyone from another firm. Nothing you upload is shown to other clients.

What Kredit does not do

• No advertising trackers.
• No artificial intelligence reads your information in this version.
• No selling or sharing of your information.

Questions and your rights

You may ask what is held about you, and ask for it to be corrected. Contact the audit manager or engagement partner named in your brief pack; they will answer for the firm.
